Just felling some Leylandii. Ideal for stripping of the greenery and chopping off small branches.

  2. Scutla (verified owner)

Great for stripping back tree branches before cutting down, makes life easier.Highly recommended.

  3. Tony Flisch (verified owner)

This is nicely weighted and well made. However it had been rather crudely sharpened which left burrs on the cutting edge. Easily fixed with a diamond hone though. Hence four stars. I like the leather handle.

  4. colin (verified owner)

Solid, well made. Just received so can’t comment on durability but feels like it will last. Made short work of smaller side branches to clean up bigger branches which is why it was purchased.

  5. Adam (verified owner)

Excellent piece of kit. Speedy and efficient delivery service. Recommend.

  6. Emily (verified owner)

  7. J Vernon Williams (verified owner)

Ideal piece of kit, excellent for cutting heavy duty brambles and leylandii branches.
Appears well made and of good weight.
    Prompt service

  8. G (verified owner)

    Good for the price point.
Used for clearing area with very thick Gorse and brambles, did the job well, nice handle and balance.

Felt it could be a bit sharper, but too cautious to hone it any more as it did the job well and did not want to think if I was clumsy what it could do to me.

Used the tool that day to clear large area of brambles, ferns, nettles and small saplings. Good sharp blade and easy to handle.

  15. G Milton (verified owner)

Really good edge knife, sharp, excellent handle grip really pleased, excellent service from Radmore & Tucker very easy to deal with and delivered when said. 5*.

  16. Joe Reddaway (verified owner)

Stihl product bill hook the very worst made Stihl product I have owned. Part of leather handle torn off, mill scale on blade, blade crudely cut and shaped, bend in blade. The handle was poorly riveted to the blade then the riveting half cut through leaving nasty sharp edges and much weaned rivet. Supplier transaction fine but should have checked item before dispatch? Not that a Stihl product should ever need checking, or so I thought.

Very good for branch stripping and it’s also pretty good for being used as a machete. I frequently do hedge laying and it’s very good until you get close to the ground then the end of it gets stuck in the floor but everything else it does amazingly and it’s quite durable, I used it on hawthorn and hazel. Basically it’s a machete/bill hook cross, overall I’m very happy with it.

It arrived on time and appears to exactly what I wanted. It seems well made and quite substantial and should last. I have only had a quick “play” with it and it works so well. Look out weeds and brambles. I also bought a whetstone but haven’t has to use that yet.

First of all fast delivery & excellent communications from Radmore & Tucker.
I looked at a few options that were cheaper than the Stihl Swiss Bush Hook but decided to go for the better option. I’m so glad I did. As soon as it came out of the package you could tell the quality was good. Very well balanced and heavy enough to slice through small branches really easily. It stays sharp too – something the cheaper options elsewhere were all marked down on in their reviews. In summary – great item – great buy, thank you.

While I’m still waiting to use this for more than a few test cuts, the item seems well-made and a good weight.

The handle offers good grip while the blade, while looking like it could be sharper, appears to be appropriate for the type of work I’ve got lined up in the garden (bramble thicket)

Once I’ve used the bill hook for a period of time – I’ll report back on the condition of the cutting edge, which looks quite roughly finished – but this may be an intentional design feature, as it needs to be able to cope with branches etc.

Delivery was next day – impressive.

I bought this for chopping brambles, so with that in mind : It’s ok, nice weight, reasonable well made but straight out of the packaging it’s blunt, not a huge problem if you have something to put an edge on it but if you bought this with a view to using straight away forget it.

An excellent tool for bramble bashing , dealing with “arisings” even grass cutting. You can pick up branches etc with the curved end saving you a lot of bending. Only downside is if you are too enthusiastic when chopping wood your hand sometimes gets “spiked” by the hook on the handle. I have used one for years sadly my last one got lost in the woods, Being without it was almost like an extra limb had gone missing!

I’ve been using this for clearing gorse, it’s excellent, with a good weight and balance. The leather handle offers a good grip, and the stop at the end prevents the tool from escaping when dragging and tugging at obstinate branches. At the price, R&T are practically giving them away! These are made in Italy (or at least mine was) and the blade is still sharp after several hours of hacking.

  24. Nick Parsons (verified owner)

Lovely tool, delivered very promptly. Great for stripping small branches off bigger branches. and with a good whack it will go through a substantial limb. Tree limb, to be clear. Highly recommended, as are R&T.

  25. Amanda Frew

Very pleased. Prompt delivery. Well made product and perfect for clearing brush and small branches.
