    Very simple bit of kit…the plastic wire (which is very strong) keeps the grab gently closed so if a connector on the ring pulls at all…it starts to grab. The grab surface is fairly non-aggressive so won’t rip up a rope quickly.
    You need access to the end of the rope or you’ll have to undo the nut and take it apart to put the rope on. Didn’t bother me, I’ve always got access to an end.
    I have tried it on a lanyard as an adjuster as well as on a main rope and it worked very well but bear in mind the minimum rope thickness is 10.5mm (for any guarantee on performance).
